Bumper dengue season in progress in Cuba

Regional media are reporting a 15-year high in infestations of the dengue fever vector, the Aedes aegypti mosquito, resulting in a spike of human infections across most provinces. Recent dengue activity was noted in the provinces of Pinar del Río, Havana, Matanzas, Villa Clara, Camagüey, Las Tunas, Holguín and Guantánamo.
